Speaker Guidelines
Oral Presentation
All speaker presentations must be in Microsoft PowerPoint. It is the speaker’s responsibility to provide the presentation in this format.
The rooms are equipped with PC (Windows Microsoft Office). Use only standard Windows system fonts in your presentation; non-standard fonts may not display correctly on our presentation computers.
Speakers are not requested to send the presentation in advance but are requested to take along with them their presentation and to contact the secretariat desk at least 30 minutes prior their presentation is scheduled. The use of one’s personal laptop is not allowed. The screen format is 16:9.
For Mac users: Power Point slides are normally compatible. If you use “Keynote” please take care that the file is converted in PDF.
Time Management
Plenary Lectures: 55 minutes + 5 minutes for discussion
Highlighted presentations: 20 minutes + 5 minutes for discussion
Oral presentations: 15 minutes + 5 minutes for discussion
Staying within your allotted time is critical. The number of slides should be consistent with a presentation of this length.
Poster Presentation
Posters sizes should be 70 cm. (width) x 100 cm. (height).
Please print your Poster within these sizes. Posters should be printed at the Authors own care and should be brought already printed at the congress venue.
Authors are requested to be present by their poster the days in which their poster is scheduled to answer questions from the audience.
Please check the programme for the session and schedule assigned to your poster.
The poster has to be removed at the end of the second day assigned for your presentation.
Publications
All accepted papers will be included in the Seminar Proceedings, which will be deposited on an online platform and provided with DOIs. Conference participants will receive the Proceedings in electronic format and the access to the file on the platform will be open.
Extended versions of selected papers will be invited for publication in the special issues of the Fire Safety Journal and the Journal of Loss Prevention in the Process Industries. These journals are indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.
